\nAn International Conference on Advances in Biomineralization Research,<\/strong> to
\nbe held in Ch\u0119ciny, the Holy Cross Mountains (G\u00f3ry \u015awi\u0119tokrzyskie), Poland
\non September 17th to 20th 2026 (Thursday to Sunday).<\/p>\n
\nacross the broad field of biomineralization.<\/p>\n
\nprocesses related to the formation of mineral structures by living
\norganisms. The growing interest in biominerals stems from their
\nimportance as archives of environmental and physiological information, as
\nwell as from their potential to inspire the design of novel materials.<\/p>\n
\nperspectives that are essential for understanding the origin and
\nfunctioning of biomineralization processes and structures: those
\ninterpreted from the geological past, observed in modern organisms, and
\nenvisioned for future bio-inspired technologies.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Biomineralization in time (geological) and space (e.g. in relation to
\nenvironmental conditions), including questions concerning the origin of
\nbiomineralization and the reliability of environmental and
\nphysiological signatures recorded in biominerals;
\n\u2022 The dynamics and mechanisms of biomineralization processes, the
\ncharacteristics of the environments in which these processes occur, and
\nthe resulting architecture of biomineral structures;
\n\u2022 Advanced techniques and methodological approaches in
\nbiomineralization research;
\n\u2022 The fabrication of new bio-inspired materials (biomimetics) and the
\ncurrent frontiers and limits of knowledge.
\nAll of these issues lie at the intersection of multiple scientific
\ndisciplines, and are addressed through observational, experimental, and in
\nsilico approaches.<\/p>\n

\nthis meeting, thus the number of participants is limited to ca. 100
