In July, on the occasion of the 19th International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB) and 11th European Biophysical Societies’ Association (EBSA) Congress in Edinburgh, Scotland, a number of satellite meetings will be organized on specific topics collateral to the main meeting. It is of special interest for us, Biophysicists, to take part in the ‘Biophysical Approaches to Protein Folding and Disease’ conference, organised by Andre Matagne (University of Liege, Belgium), Mauro Dalla Serra (National Research Council of Italy, Italy), Robert Gilbert (University of Oxford, UK) and Patrick England (Institut Pasteur, Paris, France), under the auspices of the Association of Resources for Biophysical Research in Europe (ARBRE)-Molecular Biophysics in Europe (MOBIEU) Network.
This conference will bridge the expertise on protein biophysics between several biophysical institutions associated in the ARBRE-MOBIEU Network, as well as individual researchers driven to the event by the biophysical approach to the biologically/biomedically-relevant questions. Such initiative not only provides a frame to exchange the experience on protein characterization, but also reviews the biophysical instrumentation and services currently available at research centres in Europe.
For our convenience, this satellite meeting will be held directly following the congress (20-21 July 2017) and at the congress venue (EICC, Edinburgh). The registration deadline is approaching: 5 July 2017!
If you wish to join or simply learn more about this particular satellite meeting as well as about the main congress, do not hesitate to visit the links bellow:
