Dear EBSA members, friends, colleagues and students,

It is a real pleasure to announce that registration is now open for the XIVth International Congress of the Spanish Biophysical Society (Sociedad de Biofísica de España), a member of the European Biophysical Societies’ Association (EBSA).

This annual meeting, which is advertised and held in English to encourage the participation of scientists from abroad and to promote the “training” of our youngest collaborators in an international arena, will take place this year in Alcalá de Henares during 11-13 June.

I do not need to remind you that this attractive city, very near Madrid, has a long academic tradition and is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Czytaj dalej →

We cordially invite you to participate in the 1^st Congress of the Polish Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Biophysics and Bioinformatics “BIO 2014” which will take place in Warsaw, September 9^th-12^th 2014.

The Congress BIO 2014 is for the first time jointly organized by four Polish Scientific Societies: Warsaw Divisions of the Polish Biochemical and the Polish Cell Biology Societies together with the Polish Biophysical Society and the Polish Bioinformatics Society. The Congress is the largest scientific forum in Poland in the field of biological sciences and will serve for the review of recent research progress, integration of the scientific environment, interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and creation of unprecedented networking opportunities. W dniach 5,6 czerwca 2014 odbędzie się IX Konferencja „Techniki elektrofizjologiczne w badaniach zjawisk bioelektrycznych: od kanałów jonowych po sieci neuronalne”.

Po ponad 30 latach Konferencja tego typu odbędzie się ponownie w Lublinie. Dotychczasowe spotkania były okazją wymiany doświadczeń i dyskusji dla elektrofizjologów zajmujących się szerokim spektrum zagadnień od badań kanałów jonowych w endomembranach do sygnałów generowanych w mózgach ssaków. Wyjątkową wartością tej konferencji jest integracja środowisk neurofizjologów, biofizyków i elektrofizjologów zwierząt i roślin, których łączy wspólna pasja – badanie zjawisk elektrycznych będących podstawą funkcjonowania komórek i organizmów.
